As an avid paddleboarder and owner of a paddleboard rental operation I was hesitant to give Surfstar a shot since I typically don’t align my quality standards to 400 dollar Amazon budget boards. However, I gave them a chance and tested it myself. I’ve utilized the best $1200-1500 SUPs on the market as an example of quality. I gotta say for the price, I’m impressed. The package is lightweight. The durability and rigidity of the board appear to be solid. I took it in 10-15 mph winds on the lake to truly test it upwind. It certainly can cut through the small waves. The paddle was lightweight and held strength in the chop being aluminum. The manual pump inflated the board in 5 minutes and 3 minutes with outdoor master automatic pump as an extra add on which can be found at Greenbelt Outdoors online. You get a quality leash and fin was plug n play. Honestly for the price and what you get..... 5 STARS

I needed an extra board for when I have family down to visit and after trying my friend’s SurfStar inflatable paddle board, I decided to order it. It’s a great board to have as a spare, especially for the price! It came with everything one would need to get on the water: travel back pack, leash, paddle, removable center fin, manual pump and waterproof phone case. It also came with a repair kit, but I hope I don’t ever have to use that. After ordering it on Amazon, my board came quickly - placed my order on 5/12 and it arrived on 5/15! . It came with instructions, but honestly, I didn’t use them. It’s not my first inflatable paddle board so it was easy to figure out how to set everything up. It’s very stable, which is important and maneuvers well. The first time I used it was on the intercoastal and I was very pleased with it.

 So I have a paddleboard and my usual use for it is carp fishing in small pond by our house. We recently started taking trips to a state park locally and I brought this one day just to see how much fun it would be in a larger body of water. Well what happened next was I didn’t even get to use my paddleboard and my wife were using it all day. So we had to get her one. Our favorite feature about this new paddleboard is the transportation bag. It is massive. Even with the pump in the bag you can fit so much more in it and it’s extremely comfortable to use with waste straps and pads. This particular paddleboard also came with a dry bag and a repair kit. Not that I think will need a repair kit but as you use these they eventually will get a few holes in them and it’s very thoughtful that the company includes that. The back area with the tie downs on this paddleboard is just wise enough to fit my book bag cooler o it and it easily straps down to it. This allows us to have cold drinks during our paddling session. I would highly recommend this paddleboard for beginners as it is a little wider than my original one which makes it more stable. The other thing that I noticed was different about this paddleboard what’s the texture in the center where you stand. Compared to the current paddleboard we own this texture is much more aggressive and safe in my opinion. I would buy again. I hope this was helpful.
